Wedding Day Timeline
Welcome Cocktails
Join us for a welcome cocktail at the Essex Steam Train from 3:00–3:30 PM.
Scenic Train Ride
Enjoy a scenic ride along the Connecticut River to the Lace Factory, arriving at 4:10 PM.
Ceremony & Reception
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM in the garden at the Lace Factory. A cocktail hour and the reception will immediately follow.
The reception will end at 10:00 PM, after which the train will transport guests back to the Essex Station.
Transport
A shuttle will be provided to transport guests from both the Hilton Mystic and the Spark by Hilton to the Essex Station for Welcome Cocktails. Please see below for more details.
Guests can park at the Essex train station if not using the shuttle.
Limited parking is available at the Lace Factory (about 40 spaces) for guests who prefer not to ride the train.
Please note there is no provided transportation directly between the Mystic hotels and the Lace Factory.

Shuttle to the Essex Steam Train & Riverboat
Shuttle to the Essex Station will depart from both hotels.
Hilton Mystic:
Arrive 1:55 PM,
Depart 2:05 PM
Spark by Hilton Mystic Groton:
Arrive 2:07 PM,
Depart 2:15 PM
Guests can ride the train back to the Essex Station from the venue. Return shuttle departs the Essex Station at 10:30 PM and will drop guests at both hotels.
